Echogenic Treatment
BDC Laboratories’ echogenic treatment alters the properties of silicone vessels to more accurately replicate how real anatomical structures appear under clinical ultrasound imaging.
Applied during the manufacturing process, this treatment enhances ultrasound image clarity and supports more effective use of silicone vessels in physician training, research and development, deployment accuracy studies, and education programs that incorporate ultrasound. This treatment does not affect non-ultrasound visibility, and vessels retain the same visual clarity to the naked eye as those without the echogenic enhancement.
Key System Features
Clinical Relevance
Enhances the anatomical realism of silicone models by more closely mimicking vessel behavior under imaging conditions.
Data Fidelity
Enables more accurate data acquisition compared to untreated silicone models.
Visual Clarity
Maintains full visual transparency under non-ultrasound conditions.
