RDT-7600i

Pulsatile Durability System

BDC Labs' RDT-7600i - Pulsatile Durability System

The RDT-7600i was designed as a true “set it and forget it” pulsatile durability and radial fatigue test system meeting ASTM F2477 and ISO 25539 requirements.

An optical micrometer, mounted on a computer-controlled stage, measures the pulsatile diametric strain at each station. During operation, the micrometer automatically moves to predetermined locations on the test samples to measure and document strain at defined intervals. The RDT-7600i system eliminates the need for operators to manually interface with the system, rotate manifolds, or track diametric strain throughout a 400-million-cycle test.

The RDT-7600i is controlled and monitored by our proprietary Statys® RDTi software, featuring automated strain measurement and station adjustments that eliminate the need for operator interaction, real-time monitoring and recording of all signals, and built-in algorithms for instantaneous strain feedback using ASTM F2477 and ISO 25539 relationships.

Key System Features

Independent station control icon

Independent Station Control

The first pulsatile fatigue test system to offer independent test stations with adjustable motor spacing, enabling simultaneous evaluation of samples with varying diameters and lengths.

Data fidelity icon

Data Fidelity

Once test conditions are set, the system continuously measures diametric strain and automatically adjusts any out-of-tolerance stations to ensure consistent, accurate test conditions without operator intervention.

Seamless testing workflow icon

Seamless Testing Workflow

Manages all test functions from start to finish, eliminating manual steps and enabling efficient execution of extended durability and fatigue studies.

Space efficient icon

Space Efficient

As a self-contained test system, it requires a smaller footprint than existing equipment, maximizing the use of valuable laboratory space.

The RDT-7600i is controlled and monitored by our proprietary Statys® RDTi closed-loop control and monitoring test software, featuring:

    • Automated measurement and documentation of diametric strain, with automated adjustment station parameters eliminates the need for operator interactions throughout an entire 400 million cycle study
    • Integrated diametric strain characterization algorithms to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of sample response at accelerated frequencies
    • Continual real-time data monitoring & recording of all signals to document an entire study
    • Integrated, real-time outer diameter to inner diameter calculations based on both ASTM F2477 and ISO 25539 relationships for instantaneous strain feedback
    • Real-time alarms and safeguards to protect both the system and test samples
    • User-focused software environment to facilitate ease of system operation and monitoring

Extend Your System

Optional accessories are available to extend your system’s capabilities. Add-ons can be purchased to support specific applications and configurations.

Silicone Mock Vessels

BDC Laboratories offers certified silicone mock vessels in straight, curved, bifurcated, or customer-defined configurations for mounting stents, stent grafts, transcatheter heart valve frames, and other endovascular implants. We fabricate and certify mock vessels to a specified diametric compliance or wall thickness and perform certification at various pulse pressures to meet your specific requirements (e.g., 160 mmHg/80 mmHg).

Test Station Barbs

Barb connectors ensure the best connection between the vessel and the test system. Selection depends on silicone mock vessel diameter and geometry.

Equipment Care Program

Proactive Maintenance for Uninterrupted Operations

Keep your equipment performing at its best with the only maintenance program backed by the experts who built it. This annual service includes onsite maintenance, sensor calibration, worn part replacement, optional upgrades, and a final Operational Qualification (OQ) to confirm functionality and performance.
